Sonic The Hedgehog is one of the most recognizable characters in gaming and despite it being years since his last hit video game, Sonic is still excited to celebrate his years of gaming fun.
Sonic Generations tries to bridge the early 2D Sega Genesis version of Sonic and the new 3D Sonic by bringing the two versions face to face thanks to a time-ripping monster.  The Sonics will explore several famous worlds from past Sonic games, taking on each stage from a side scrolling point of view as the original Sonic and in 3D with the new Sonic.  Each stage has some of the best fast paced excitement that Sonic games have been known for.  The set-pieces of each stage, like a race to outrun a monster semi-truck, make each level epic and unique.  If that wasn’t enough, Sonic Generations has one of the best soundtracks in video games to date.
Gamers who have been playing since Sega’s birth have been waiting for another truly good Sonic game and it’s finally here, with someone for old and new gamers to enjoy.
Sonic Generations is on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

Reddit user torontoitguy came up with a new option for typing on console controllers.  It’s similar to the phone typing scheme and definitely a step up from the current options.

It will be interesting to see if the Crysis team can bring the visuals they’ve made famous on the PC to consoles.  Beyond that, the game looks interesting and I hope they keep the dark suspenseful tone they’ve set in this trailer.

ABOUT THE GAME:
The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown.  Now the aliens have returned, with a full invasion force bent on nothing less than the total annihilation of mankind, starting by trying to rip the heart out of Earth’s most iconic city.

In New York, terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets and a nightmare plague strikes down the city’s myriad inhabitants with brutal epidemic speed.  The city’s systems are in chaos, its streets and skyline are smashed and in flaming ruin. This is New York City like you’ve never seen it before.

No longer do gamers have to get up and put a disc in when they want movies! No longer do we have to put up with the Xbox 360′s fan! No longer do we have to worry about our PS3 discs stop working after a few uses!

The Wii and PS3 have received downloadable versions of the Netflix Instant Stream application. The PS3′s download features HD streaming, surround sound, and possibly the best looking Netflix interface.  With all these perks and the quiet fan of PS3, it makes it the best console to watch your movies on. The PS3′s can be accessed through the XMB and Wii’s on the Shop Channel.

This trailer gives your first look at the re-revised look of Infamous’s star, Cole.  There is just a quick pan around him as the lighting flashes but he seems to still looks like he did on the Game Informer cover. I would expect a clearer image of Cole to be released in the near future.

It’s nothing we haven’t already seen before, just shows us the gameplay and superpowers in action.

I think LittleBigPlanet was a good idea that needed some work.  I didn’t make it through half the levels that came with the game due to problems with the planes of depth glitching. My time in level creator was spent messing with physics and making simple cars because making a decent level took too much time.  However, if you hopped into the community levels you would see thousands of amazing creations showing LBP’s true potential.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is improving on the recipe making it easier to create levels with things like direct control of vehicles and objects and AI bots, but I think what has me most excited about the sequel is the gadgets featured in the trailer.  I’m not sure when a grappling hook doesn’t make anything more awesome; the creatinator, which will allow you to shoot out building materials, will allow for amazing puzzles; and the power glove will finally fix that sometimes annoying fact of the Sackboy’s limited ability to affect the environment (only being able to slightly tug on things). I can’t wait to see how creators incorporate these tools into new levels (ultimate Batman level, anyone?)

I’ve never wanted a fake movie to be real so bad.
