Justice League In Song Form

Aquaman

Aquaman’s Lament – Mark Aaron James

Mark Aaron James supports one of the most ignored and hated DC superhero.  Batman might sell more comics, but Aquaman gets the girl.

Flash

The Ballad of Barry Allen – Jim’s Big Ego

Flash is often portrayed as the smartass quickster, but The Ballad of Barry Allen focuses on how the Flash is just as aware of every step he takes as a normal human is.  The song is awesome on it’s own, but I want to give points to tehbasil for the awesome video they made for the song.

Superman

Five For Fighting – Superman (It’s Not Easy)

There are quite a few Superman songs in circulation, both those that make passing reference to the hero and ones that tell his story.  This has to be my favorite of Supes songs, with the ability to make a character who has been made out to be a god into someone you actually feel sorry for. Five for Fighting made the only song on this list that has reached pop appeal.

Batman

The Stolen Minks – Batman

Finding a Batman song for this list was an interesting challenge. I found a number of odd songs, one with the unique lyric “Hold me close and kiss me now and fuck me like Batman,” which just begs the question of how Batman fucks. In the end,  I was torn between The Stolen Minks – Batman due to it’s genuine description of Batman along with the descriptor “You’re the sex” and Adam West’s song Miranda, proving that he is one of the oddest portrayal’s of Batman ever created. I decided to include both because you really need to hear each for it’s unique take on the caped crusader.
