Darth Vader wasn’t all that passionate about getting his son to join him. I can picture him sitting around going, “I could kill him, but that’s a lot of effort. I’ll get him to join me and then he can help with the genocide…it’s a lot of work.” After all, when his son fell to his presumed death, Vader was just like “meh” and moved on with his life.
