We all know the only movie you should be worrying about seeing today is Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, but after you exit the theater you might wonder what movies you have to look forward in the future.  I present to the you, Sucker Punch.  Every second of this trailer is a beautiful and purely awesome piece of beautiful awesomeness, I’m just slightly worried if they will be able to weave the very different scenes together into a coherent and interesting story.  Worse case scenario, they make the most beautiful bad movie ever made.

I’m sure 90% of the people who see Scott Pilgrim vs The World will have no idea (or care) it was based on a graphic novel, just like there are millions who have seen Serenity and never heard of Firefly. I’ll admit I haven’t read the graphic novels yet but have heard they are quite amazing and based on the above recreation of the movie trailer using the graphic novel, it looks like they were fairly faithful to the source material. Below is the original trailer so you can compare the trailers side by side and once you are done with that you can check out Scott Pilgrim vs The World which releases in theaters today.

Today is the release of Scott Pilgrim vs The World in theaters and to celebrate you should go buy some of the epic shirts at Mighty Fine.  Here is some of my favorites:

It’s pure 8-bit awesomeness.

Explains the relationships of all the characters.  Great to wear to the movie to show people who get confused.

I’m iffy on the design itself but it looks pretty awesome on that hoodie.

This trailer gives us a good idea of the story of the Thor movie.  I can’t tell if it will be a deep story or just be a mindless action movie but its more likely to the latter.

I have no idea how they made it but its surely awesome.

There is no official word as to if this is a teaser of a movie or game but I think we can all agree it is freaking amazing!  The tone of this flick is amazing, Johnny Cage is dead from the start, Scorpion is the main character, and Sub-Zero is going to be there to lay the smack down? Pretty sure this is going to be the best thing ever.

Update: The trailer is called Mortal Kombat: Rebirth and was made by director Kevin Tancharoen.  It was created as an attempt to get Warner Bros to let his vision become the next Mortal Kombat movie. There is no word if WB liked it or not, but I am pretty sure the fans want it.

Adidas has Star Wars theme merchandise.  It’s not all that impressive but their commercials for it are five kinds of awesome.  This one features the classic cantina scene with random pop culture figures thrown in.  I’m not a big fan of Snoop Dogg  but there is something about him as a jedi that just seems right.  Who else wants to see Snoop vs Vader in the ultimate cage match?

The more I see of this movie the more excited I become for it.  The “You shouldn’t date a girl with 11 evil exboyfriends” line is starting to get a little tired, but everything else is pure gold, chocolate covered gold dripped in awesomeness.

I’ve never been somewhere that I needed directions so a TomTom was never on my wishlist. Now TomTom will have the Star Wars voices including Darth Vader, C-3PO, Yoda, and Han Solo.  I am half tempted to buy a TomTom just to hear Vader give me directions to the grocery store.  I can think of better uses of my money, but not many geekier.  If all of this doesn’t have you excited, maybe watching Vader’s recording session will have something to say about it.
